I have been surprised when I viewed my stats at the amount of views my website has received, more than I expected to be honest, so I am starting up this blog. It will be about all sorts of things, but mainly about books that I am currently reading, my current writing and women’s issues, so feel free to contribute to these discussions.
I am currently working on the sequel to We’ll Always Have Paris and I am up to 45k words, but I have taken a break from it to do some social media marketing. Please have a look at my Instagram if you are into that kind of thing. I am not going to participate in Twitter as I have enough to do with Instagram, Facebook and I think it is better to concentrate on those and on this blog.
I have a project on the back burner for a future book. It will be about the experiences of older women participating in internet dating. I have quite a few experiences of my own, but I would really like to hear from other ladies. Nevermind Plenty of Fish, it ought to be called Swimming with Sharks. So if you have some interesting, funny or downright creepy stories about internet dating then please email me or get in touch through facebook. I can assure you it will be thoroughly anonymous.
Right now I am having a little period of reading Classics and I have just finished reading Penelope Mortimer’s the Pumpkin Eater. Semi-autobiographical, I think any woman who is or has been married with children will enjoy this. It is a short book but even though it is set in the sixties it is still relevent today. Take a look if you like that sort of thing. I am currently reading Cider with Rosie by Laurie Lee, it paints a charming picture of a rural life gone by. Let me know what you are reading, I would love to hear from you.
